Macro Michel NOËL_VF0V5584a
I was amazed to see the number of fantastic macro photographs of insects available on flickr. We used some of these photos for last year's Summer Reading Club theme, Catch the Reading Bug.
Snape, Snape, Severus Snape
I have spent WAY too much time watching random videos on YouTube, which has caused me to not be able to decide which video to post, so I am posting two.
Video 1: Potter Puppet Pals in honor of the 5th Harry Potter movie coming out this week.
Video 2: Art Attack by Neil Buchanan. This show is one of the best shows we watched as a kid. Neil's gigantic artworks are the best!

Catching Up: Week 5
I'm so glad that Week 7 is catch up week. Summer Reading has been kicking my butt for the last couple of weeks, and even though I'm doing the 23 Things at home, I've been too tired to want to do library "homework" over the last two weeks.
That said, I'm still enjoying the 23 Things program :)
As I write this, I am listening to Science Fair by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson thanks to the technological help of OverDrive. It sounds like it will be yet another brilliant collaboration by these two authors :) Now, I just have to convince myself to listen to it.
I'm one of the few people who don't like audio books. Downloading them is easy. I can put them on my mp3 player. Now, I can even put them on my ipod-yay! I can use them in the car. But I just don't like them. I'm like the antagonist from Green Eggs and Ham. I do not like them in a boat, I will not use them with a goat. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am, I do not like green audio books and ham!
Mostly, I just don't like that I can read the book SO much faster. Anyway, I remember OverDrive taking much longer and being more complicated when I tried it 3-4 years ago, so I'm glad it's gotten easier--or I have just gotten more tech savvy :)

Hello, Little Blog!
I promise to love you and type words on you forever and ever, until I loose interest...
So, I'm not new to blogs. I have abandoned two poor little blogs over the last 3 years.
But I am new to Blogger. Since I already have a gmail account, I found it very easy to set up this blog. I'm also impressed with the improvements to WYSIWYG technology in the last year and a half since I last spent any real time using a blog ^_^ Since I've never learned html, cute buttons that let me do fun things easily always makes me happy.
Anyway, I appreciate the opportunity to spend some time with technology that I wouldn't really use otherwise--which is why I am participating in 23 Things.
